In 2003 and 2004, the auth r and c mpan i ns made three bry phytic surveies in this regi n, and ab ut 500 specimens f bry phytes w ere c llected there. Fr m all these specimens, 36 families,78 generas and 204 species( including 8 subspecies, 4 varieties and 1 f rm) are identi fied, including 5 newly rec rded species in Guizh u. Acc rding t The arealtypes f Chinese genera f seed plants by Wu Zhengyi, 13 type f the bry fl ra in this regi n are rec gnized. Tr pical elements is the m st imp rtant nes. F r c nsidering the relati nships betw een the m ssfl ra f l w m untain valley m ns n f rest and ther m untains, the auth r selected nine regi ns. C mparing the similarity c efficient f m ss genera and species between this regi n and ther m untains, this regi n is very cl se t the Mt. M a lan. While the similarity c efficient between this regi n and M t. Changbai is the l w est, s the relat i n betw een them is very far.
