As an outstanding representatives of these people, Hick came up with the Religious Pluralism Theory. The theory, which is based on Heidegger’s epistemological views and uses Kant’s explanation about Thing itself and Phenomenon to decipher mixed reactions of different religions upon the Real, takes the Real as the core and turns out a better way for dialogues on religions, which accomplished a Copernican revolution in this filed. No matter how, the opinion of the Real in this theory is still disputed. This essay will start with the concept of the Real and take language as the entry path to research how language works in dialogues on religion and the process of the achievement of the Real as well as its deeper meaning. Besides, I will make further research on Religious Pluralism’s tension with Hick’s theory and try to find out whether we can create a universal pattern for dialogues on religion.
