It is attributed to the passivation of the negative plate and the recr stallization and the shrinkage of the spong lead. The use of the additives can increase the batter c cle life, charge acceptance, surface area of negative active mass and stabilization of its structure. This paper summarizes the state of the art of several foreign negative additives, their mechanism and the effects of each negative additive on batter performance, and new organic expenders ( SYNAN) have also been introduced.
