In the implementation of essential medicine system process, adverse drug reaction(ADR) monitoring is a routine measure to ensure the smooth implementa－ tion of essential medicine system, at the same time, the essential medicine system also promotes the development of ADR monitoring work. Through introducing the relationship between the essential medicine system and the ADR monitoring in China, the relationship between them is mutual influence and promotion in the process of development.
