I. Teaching content: Book 2 Unit 4 Lesson 19 I Like Fruit!
II. Teaching aims:
1. Aims on the knowledge: To make students know some fruit and numbers.
2. Aims on the abilities: To develop the abilities of speaking new words, listening to the tapes, reading the text and singing.
3. Aims on the emotion: To make students eat healthily.
III. Key points:
1. Words: apple, pear, orange, watermelon, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen
2. Sentences: What do you like? I like watermelons. How many?
IV. Difficult points: pear, watermelon, twelve
What do you like? I like watermelons.
V. Teaching aids: A tape recorder, an apple, a pear, an orange, a watermelon,
VI. Teaching period: two periods.
VII. Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Greetings.
T:-Good morning, boys and girls! S:- Good morning, Miss Zhang!
T:-How are you today? S:-I’m fine, thanks. How are you?
T:-Nice to meet you! S:-Nice to meet you, too.
T:-Well, sit down, please. S:-Thank you.
Step 2:Leading-in.
T: Can you guess what is in my bag?
S: 苹果Apple.
T: Yes. You are clever. (Then take out the apple.)
T: What else in the bag?
Step 3: New knowledge presentation.
Today we will learn some fruit. Then write the key words on the blackboard. “apple, pear, orange, watermelon” After learning the new words, then write the key sentences on the blackboard.
What do you like? I like apples/ pears/ oranges/ watermelons.
Step 4: Practice.
Read the words three times after the teacher, then read in groups, next in pairs and finally one student.
Use the sentence: What’s this? It’s a/an…
Use the key sentences to express what they like.
Step 5: Listen to the tape and read after it. Then learn the song together.
When listening to the song, ask students to sing following the tape.
Step 6: Present part three.
How many? eleven bananas, twelve oranges , thirteen pears, fourteen apples, fifteen watermelons.( Emphasize the plural forms.)
Step 7: Practice and play. Part four.
Step 8: Review. Read the ne
