The Inuence of Electron Trapping on the Propagation of the Electrosound Waves in Plasma H Abbasi MR Rouhani Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics And Mathematics Tehran Iran and Department of Physics Amir Kabir University Tehran Iran It is known that the charged particles trapp ed by the longitudinal electic eld play an imp ortant role in nonlinear wave dynamics in plasma The consideration of the trapp ed particles is esp ecialy imp ortant for discription of the slow motion of the plasmaThe trapp ed particles not only often determine the prop erty of nonlinear wave but also the p ossibility of its existance At present the investigation of the interaction of highferequency HF electromagnetic waves with plasma is one of the urgent problems Under the action of HF eld on plasma the average p ondermotive force creates charge separation and exitation of lowferequency LF longitudinal waves which in turn change the particle distribution in usual spaceIf the intensity of the excited LF longitudinal waves is suciently high then they can capture the particles and change the distribution of particles in the velo city space as well Such a nonlinear redistribution of particles leads to the changes in the character of the propagation of HF nonlinear waves in plasma By taking into account the trapping of plasma particles in present pap er a system of coupled equations which describ e the dynamics of LF longitudinal waves and the amplitude of HF electromagnetic waves is formulated The inuence of particle trapping on the propagation of nonlinear waves is inv
