摘 要 本论文试从悲剧审美视角入手，运用影响研究的方法，从悲剧美学高度探讨尤金·奥 尼尔戏剧与曹禺戏剧的关系。通过分析奥尼尔戏剧与曹禺戏剧的深层联系和艺术特色， 说明剧作家由于受到不同文化背景和社会历史的浸润，在戏剧创作中带有自身文化的深 刻烙印,同时也论述了曹禺戏剧创作对奥尼尔戏剧艺术的接受以及曹禺所做出的民族化 尝试。通过上述研究以达到深化、扩展奥尼尔和曹禺戏剧研究的意义。 本论文包括绪论与结语，共由五部分组成。主要内容在第一、二、三章。绪论部分 主要介绍尤金·奥尼尔和曹禺的可比性，作家作品在国内的研究状况，本论文所采用的 研究角度、研究方法以及研究意义。第一章主要追索中西悲剧传统与现代悲剧的建构。 本章主要从西方悲剧发展及悲剧传统的续接、终极价值松动与现代悲剧的嬗变、梳理中 国悲剧传统与现代悲剧理念的确立三节来展开论述，从整体上概述了中西悲剧的发展脉 络。第二章主要具体探讨奥尼尔和曹禺深刻的精神联系。本章主要从趋同的审美观念、 相似的悲剧呈现、一致的悲剧内涵三节来进行阐释。第三章主要具体分析奥尼尔和曹禺 戏剧的艺术个性。本章主要从奥尼尔与曹禺审美取向的明显分野、戏剧技巧的不同选择 两节来进行阐释。结语部分说明奥尼尔和曹禺戏剧与中西悲剧传统都有着承继发展的联 系，它们体现出悲剧审美思维方式的精神共鸣，在剧作的呈现和内涵上也具有趋同的特 点。但是奥尼尔和曹禺戏剧的诸多艺术特点反映了不同时代、国家的社会历史状况和民 族文化心态。立足民族传统和民族特性的艺术创新使曹禺形成了独特的艺术风貌。 关键词：尤金·奥尼尔；曹禺；悲剧 I Abstract This paper tries to start from the perspective of tragic aesthetics to study the relationship between Eugene ONeill and Cao Yu’ s plays by the means of impact study. By analyzes the common links and different characteristics between ONeill and Cao Yu’s plays, this paper illustrates that the play created by playwright carries deep imprint of their own culture due to the invasion of different cultural background and social history.This paper also discusses Cao Yu’s acceptance of ONeill’s play art and his attempt of the play’s nationalization. Cao Yu’s selection of ONeill’s play art reflects playwrights’ reference of external factors and their personal creation.This paper tries to deepen and extend the study of ONeill and Cao Yu’s play by the above way. This paper is composed by five parts, counting introduction and conclusion. And the main contents focus on chapter one to three.
