She tried to engage her roommate in a philosophical discussion. They spoke little about life outside the organization despite my efforts to engage them in conversation about it. They engaged him in a new project. 6. exaltation n. a very strong feeling of happiness 兴奋，得意 My depression had lifted and my mood had changed to exaltation.
