In this thesis “The value about the tourist culture of the couplets in Su Zhou classical gardens”, I try to express the subject: Couplet and Su Zhou classical gardens have close relation to each other. The thesis including my point of view has three parts. The first part is: couplet and Su Zhou classical gardens. The second part is: the content and the type of the couplets in Su Zhou classical gardens. The third part is: the value about the tourist culture of the couplets in Su Zhou classical gardens. Beside I cite and list a lot of the couplets in Su Zhou classical gardens, and in order to step on a high standard to elaborate the relationship between the couplets and these gardens though the examples. Studying these meaningful words when you wander about the garden would certainly give you more pleasure. So I wish this thesis will be helpful to improve people’s taste and enjoyment while visiting Su Zhou classical gardens, make people understand the relationship between the literature (especially the couplet) and these classical gardens.
