Abstract: There w ere a lot of cultural figures in modern H uizhou and Anqing, an important cultural phe-
nomenon. There w ere not only same regional characteristicses but also different regional characteristicses in
the region distribution, period distribution and type distribution of cultural figures in the modern chinese
history. This kind cultural phenomenon w ere the result s of mult ipartite effects of the cultural development,
historical tradition, social reformation and educational development in the two regions.
