Dynamics analysis of a discrete-time
Predator-Prey model
Abstract
In this thesis, a two dimensions discrete-time system obtained by applying Euler’s
method with step δ to a Lotka-Volterra type predator-prey system is investigated.
By qualitative analysis, the conditions of existence of nonnegative fixed points and
stability of them are derived. Taking δ as a bifurcation parameter, it is shown
that the discrete system undergoes flip and Hopf bifurcations by using the center
manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Numerical simulations are presented not
only to confirm these theoretical results, but also display the new and interesting
dynamical behaviors, including period-5, 6, 9, 1
