H ydrology Water Resource Survey ureau of Liaoning P rov ince, Shenyang 110003, China) Abstract:At present, the numerical simulation method is oneof the main techniquemethods that simulate thegroundwater flow and evaluate the groundwater resources quantity. The Visual ODFLOW software has the outstanding characteristics such as systematism and vision.So the software is applied to set up mathematical model of groundwater system, in order to simulate and predict the water flow circumstance of the Liguanpu water sourcearea in Shenyang city. The outcomes of simulation show that it is feasible to provide the needed water for the project. The model establishment has application meaning in a way for building the groundwater resource area along river and estimation of groundwater mining quantity.
