Teaching aids 教具准备 Tape recorder and Multi-media Teaching procedures and ways 教学过程与方式 Step I Lead-in This activity leads to the new topic in this period. Ss are encouraged to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing. In this period listening and speaking are paid much attention to. T: As you know, we have got much information about Zhalong Nature Reserve, so I’d like some of you say something about it. Volunteer? S1 stands up and introduces Zhalong to the Ss. T: Well done. But I’d like to ask you two questions and think them over. Question 1: When did Zhalong Nature Reserve become one of the world’s most important wetland? Question 2: What is the area of Zhalong? If you are not sure about the facts, now let’s listen to a radio programme on Zhalong. Step II Listening Listen to the tape carefully and do the exercise: Facts about Zhalong. First finish putting a tick according to their knowledge, then listen and choose the correct facts. If they are not sure, listen again, and check the answers together. Step III Consolidation Listen to the tape once again and fill in the blanks of A3. After that, ask Ss to read it aloud in class in order to strengthen their ability to tell the summary of Zhalong. Read the passage while they listen
