To get main idea of the passage and understand the meanings of new words and sentences. 3. To get main idea of the passage and understand the meanings of new words and sentences. 4.To learn western festival cultures , experience co-operation. 教法教具 Multi-media masks Teaching, Listening, co-operation 教学过程 学生活动 Step1. Greetings Step2. Warm- up Suppose today is Halloween, come in boys and girls. Ask students to make dialogues in pairs. Do some introduction about Halloween and the famous song This is Halloween. I’ll play the song of This is Halloween. Step3. Lead- in Show students some pictures about the festivals that we’ve learned in the last period. Say out the names together, then, ask two students to write down the names on the blackboard, the others write them down on their notebooks. Ask: How much do you know about Halloween? Step4. Presentation Show students some pictures about the activities in Halloween. What is it? What are they doing? How do they do it? There is a letter from Wendy to Millie. Let’s listen to it and get more information about Halloween. Then ask students to find out the structures of the letter. Tell students to write them down on their notebooks. Play the tape again, give students another exercise. Then check and correct answers together. Step5. Reading Ask f our students to read the letter. I will check and correct their pronunciation. 2. Ask an able students to read it fluently. 3. Ask students to read it together. Step6. Practicing Show students three levels to check their understanding of the letter. Level A. Finish off the T/F
