ABSTRACT

posedoftheWeatherForecastingandResearch(WRF1mode1．theOpenSourceFieldOperationandManipulationsoftware
package，andaLagrangiandispersionmode1．Quantificationoftheadversehealtheffectsofthesechemicalreleaseevents
aregivenbyreferringtotheU．S．EnvironmentalProtectionAgency’sAcuteExposureGuidelineLevels．Thewindfields
oftheurban—scalecase，with3km horizontalresolution。weresimulatedbytheBeiiingRapidUpdateCyclesystem．which
wereutilizedbytheWRFmode1．Thesub—domain—scalecasestookadvantageofthecomputationalfluiddynamicsmethod
toexplicitlyconsidertheeffectsofbuildings．Itwasfoundthatthemulti—scaleatmosphericdispersionmodeliscapableof
simulatingtheflow patternandconcentrationelistributionondifferentscales，rangingfrom severalmeterstokilometers，and
canthereforebeusedtoimprovetheplanningofpreventionandresponseprograms．
