The assignment will consist of: Producing and testing engineering design drawings using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system Producing circuit diagrams using a CAD system Using a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software package to operate a machine tool and set up a computer-controlled machine tool to manufacture engineered components Demonstrate with conclusions how Computer Aided Engineering (integration of CAD and CAM) is used to design and manufacture an engineered product. The nature of the outcome of the assignment will be dependent upon the sector focus. Circuit boards designed and made as part of Unit F543 could be presented as fully working circuits in Unit F546.
