摘 要 摘 要 信息化浪潮席卷全球，给全世界政治、经济、文化等领域带来深刻的变革。我国根 据国家发展实际，制定和实施了适合中国国情的信息化战略。我国信息化进程的特点和 战略目标制约着各行业的发展，公共图书馆作为信息资源的提供者和管理机构更是受到 巨大影响。与这一社会历史特征相适应，我国公共图书馆的职能呈现出一定的历史阶段 性。在信息化时代带来的机遇与挑战面前，我国公共图书馆确定什么样的职能，如何发 挥这些职能，成为公共图书馆界关注的问题。这样的讨论与研究对我国公共图书馆事业 的发展有一定的现实意义。 本文以信息化进程中我国公共图书馆的历史职能为研究对象，首先界定了信息化的 内涵及我国信息化的背景、特点，从我国公共图书馆事业发展的现状出发，分析了信息 化对公共图书馆发展带来的影响，探讨了信息化进程中我国公共图书馆职能发生的变 化，并从内在驱动力和社会环境两个方面分析了影响公共图书馆职能发挥的条件。 关键词 信息化 公共图书馆 历史职能 I Abstract Abstract The informatization wave swept across the whole world，the human society stepped into an information age 。Great changes have taken place in global politics，economy ，culture and so on. 。China has made up and carried out its own infomatization strategy goal and policy to adapt to the national conditions 。As provider and manager of information resources , the public libraries are conditioned by the feature of informatization process in China 。In accordance with the characteristic of information age the public library functions in China display a certain history phase property 。How the public libraries in China that confronted with the chances and challenges of informatization formulate and develop their functions was given increasing attention.
