ABSTRACT Abstract Company BY from Taiwan acts as an agent for one Taiwainese IC design company. Based on the detailed information collected from BY company operations, this paper has analyzed the environment where the Company is operating. Then the relevant management doctrines, such as SWOT analysis method and Competitive Strategy by Michael Porter were applied in further elaboration. Through researching market conditions and five forces affecting the Company, we can identify the pros and cons of the Company and opportunities offered to and threats faced with the Company. Furthermore a through and deeper analysis was conducted with regards to corporate organization, personnel mechanism and customer relation management (CRM) in order to locate the core competence of the company and problems underlying in the corporate operations. Through studying the problem facing the Company, a solution can be found out. Hence the Company will enhance the market share and profitability while utilizing its own advantages and adopting the effective competition measures.
