With rethought of the once popular thesis , the article points out Weberthesis has little significance with postConfucian thesis because of the distinction of “Modernity taking ”and “Modernity transplantation ”, as well as the difference of religious form , so cial operating mode between Confucian and postConfucian. PostConfucian thesis depends more on Weberthesis which overloads comparison by using monotonous comparing logic. The overloaded comparison is clearly expressed in the demonstration of “Confucian sparing theory promoting economic development ”.
