Selected Readings from English Journals 英语报刊阅读 Course Description By providing original English articles published in various kinds of newspapers and magazines, the course is to help the learners be familiar with the cultural background in English-speaking countries. This course also acquaints students with different styles and characteristics of the English articles. As a result, students are able to analyze the ideas, structures and language techniques of the articles dealing with finance, economics, and world politics. Questions What is news? Which newspapers or magazines in English are you reading? Could you list out some of the major news agencies worldwide?
