The abstract The abstract in English is much shorter than the one in Chinese, 200-300 words, so it is in effect a summary of the Chinese abstract. You will only have space for 10 or so sentences, so about 2 each for describing Introduction (What is this project about? Why is this project interesting or important?); Hypothesis (What did you think you would find? Why?); Methods (Briefly explain your procedure.); Results (What did you find when you performed your project?); Discussion (Are your results consistent with your initial hypothesis? Why or why not?); Conclusion (What is your interpretation of what these results mean? Why should anyone become excited about or interested in your findings?). Words should be chosen carefully so as to say as much as possible with each sentence. 论文写作总体要求 英文, 整体不超过4000 字.注意：（根据《北京外国语大学本科毕业论文工作条例》2006年版，正文篇幅不少于6000单词。） 论文主体部分为: 3500 至 4000 字, 10 页. 不包括图表. 摘要, 参考书目等. 全部包括: 需要20 页以上. 论文应是正式书面用语, 但可以使用”我” 来表示作者. 文章中的标题应与目录页上的标题一致 论文逻辑性强, 每一段包含一个中心意思.
