Introduction and preliminaries Let A (p, n) denote the class of functions of the form ∞ (1.1) f (z) = zp + akzk (p, n ∈ N = {1, 2, . . .}), k=p+n which are analytic in the open disc U = {z ∈ C : |z | 1}. Also A (1, n) = A (n), A (p, 1) = A (p ) and A (1, 1) = A.
