Kennedyt Governmentalapproaches to regulatingday labor markets havefocused principallyon industriessuch as construction,landscapingand agriculture,in which day labor isperformed almost exclusively by men. Legal and social science scholarship regardingday labor has largely ignored the significant numbers of women working in domestic industries like housekeeping and child-care.
