A ccor ing to the engineering practice of p ipe leak etection an locatio n ing, th is paper proposes a new metho to suppress the noise of leak etection signa,l the a aptive noise cancellation metho base on errorwh iten ing criterion. Controlling the linear pre iction of leak etection signalw ith errorw hiten ing criterion, w e can obtain a signal that is uncorrelate w ith leak signal but correlate w ith noise. U sing th is signal as the reference input of the a aptive noise canceller, the noise w ith autocorrelation length shorter than that of the leak etection signal can be cancelle effectively.
