Clinical observation of needle-Shaped Knife therapy on lumbar intervertebral disc Protrusion Specialty:Acupuneture and Moxibustion Author:Wang Xiao hui Tutor:Liu Fang ming Abstract Purpose: to observe the needle-Shaped Knife therapy for clinical effect of lumbar disc herniation and compared with traditional acupuncture therapy. Looking for a new therapeutic method for treatment of the disease. Explore a needle-Shaped Knife therapy for treating the disease and efficient clinical pathways in order to promote implementation Methods: From Jan.2010 to Jan.2012,a total of 160 cases lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion patients who got treated at Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Qianfo Mountain hospital of Shandong Province were included . 160 cases randomly divided into a treatment group 80 cases (treated with needle-Shaped Knife therapy)and a control group 80 cases (treated with traditional acupuncture points). After receiving a course of treatment.the clinical effect was evaluated according to therapeutic effect of improving of Lumbar function(lumbar function JOA assessment form)and pain improvement (Visual analog score VAS), and clinical therapeutic effect of comprehensive evaluation was evaluated too. Results: the data was obtained analysis and examination,the improvement of pain (pain VAS scores ) is compared before and after treatment. There were significant statistically (p0.01) .
