Methods: The 20 cases of Alzheimer’s patient using acupuncture therapy with Seven-point in Nape adopt Alzheimer Disease Assessment Scale - Cognitive part (ADAS-cog), Mini Mental Scale ( MMSE),Activities of daily living scale (ADL) for evaluating acupuncture therapeutic effect. Results: 1. Alzheimers Disease Assessment Scale - Cognitive part (ADAS-cog) score before and after treatment were significantly different(P ＜0.01), the total effective rate was 70%. 2. Mini mental state examination (MMSE) scores before and after treatment were significantly different(P ＜0.01), the total effective rate was 70%. 3. Activities of daily living scale (ADL) scores before and after treatment were significantly different(P ＜0.01),with a total effective rate was 75%.Conclusion: The Seven-point in Nape Acupuncture can improve cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer disease and improve the ability of daily living in patients.
