A Survey of The characteristics of Incidence of 2195 cases of DDH Speciality：Orthopaedics of TCM Author ：Xin Maoyuan Tutor：：r Prof.Liu Fuqi Abstract Objective: To analyze the general information of DDH patients of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated hospitals from 1975 to 2004 ,and discuss the epidemiological characteristics of the disease, the characteristics of the incidence, early diagnosis, prevention and other issues in order to provide epidemiological reference, serve the disease prevention and treatment. Information and Methods: Choosing our hospital patients who were treated with DDH from 1975 to 2004 by computer index and collecting the useful information by hands,while using the information of the storge house in our hospital, then analysing the data by tables and spss 13.0 Survey results: 1. The whole number in line with the standards of medical records was 2195 cases, of which 550 cases is male, female 1645 cases, and there were 3307 hips in all (1083 cases of unilateral, bilateral 1112 cases). 2. DDH ratio for male and female was 1:2.99, and female was much more than male. 3. DDH incidence of other side there is an obvious difference, with bilateral dislocation of the largest, accounting for 50.65%, and the left was more than the right side obviously. 4. DDH with seasonal distribution of births showed a certain degree of regularity: March ~ August incidence is significantly lower than those born in September ~ February.
