Abstract
Duplex stainless steel is made of austenite and ferrite two-phase structure composed by a certain percentage, which combines the performance of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steels. Compared with the single phase stainless steel with high strength characteristics. In recent years, the rapidly expanding range of applications of duplex stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel has become the most powerful competitor in many applications. This paper introduces the definition of duplex stainless steel, classification and performance as well as its internal organization and chemical composition, and specific chemical constituents for each presentation. Then explained the choice for choosing different methods of duplex stainless steel welding, welding equipment, Finally in 2205 as an example focuses on the selection of welding parameters for welding materials, etc. to develop their research welding process.
