Efforts to expand domestic demand and increase consumption is Chinas long-term strategy for economic development. Chinas first populated province 54.32% of the agricultural population is the largest consumer groups, the rural market is a huge potential consumer market. Henan is Chinas first populated province , its two-thirds of the total population is rural population , the correct analysis of consumption structure and Rural Development, as well as some of the factors affecting rural consumers,it is good to guide the state government departments to formulate specific,which can not only increase the income of farmers and promote the consumption of farmers ,but also keep the economy sustained and healthy development.In this paper, rural residents in Henan Province as the research object, using the extended linear expenditure system model.Henan Province, in 2009 the per capita net income of rural residents and a variety of consumer spending, cross-sectional data grouped according to the data of different income generation of the model parameters into ELES estimates, quantitative analysis of the current consumption of rural residents in Henan province specific characteristics of the structure, and the status of the province after years of spending proposed by the scientific projections and proposed recommendations to better promote national economic development.
