广东番禺珠宝产业集群研究 陈庆 朱华友 （浙江师范大学地理与环境科学学院，浙江 金华，321000） 摘要：广东番禺珠宝在国内享有盛名，Study on Jewelry Industry Cluster of Panyu Guangdong Zhu Huayou Chen Qing (College of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua Zhejiang 321004) Abstract: The jewelry industry of Panyu is very famous not only at home but also abroad.Now its processing capacity of jewelry has surpassed the traditional jewelry Kingdom -- Italy Vicenza. So Panyu also is called China Jewelry City. With Hongkongs manufacturing industry moved outside in the 1980s and the help of the government, Panyu makes full use of local resource advantages to establish the jewelry industry cluter. Now the jewelry industry cluster of Panyu has formed a certain scale,but it still exists a series of problems in the process of its development,such as the low added value, a lack of regional brand and leading enterprise, the low quality of workers. How to improve the added value of products,and How to play an important role of economies of scale are the difficult problems which have to be solved eagerly.This study is based on the concept of jewelry, then the author defines the nature of jewelry industry to make clear that in this paper the jewelry industry belongs to labor intensive industry. Next the author puts forward the concept and characteristics of jewelry industry cluster. Last taking the jewelry industry cluster of Panyu as an exampl, the author analysises the development process and stages of jewelry industry cluster, Summeds the internal and external factors which effect the development of cluster,and points out the problems of jewelry industry cluter then gives the suggestions.
