Improved pre-conditioning in Fluent v6.2 for the coupled-implicit solver enhances accuracy and robustness for low-Mach number flows The coupled-explicit solver should only be used for unsteady flows when the characteristic time scale of problem is on same order as that of the acoustics e.g., tracking transient shock wave The segregated (implicit) solver is preferred in all other cases.
