智课网TOEFL备考资料 托福阅读句子简化题解题方法 摘要： 托福阅读考试中有一类题型是句子简化题,考生一般非常头痛这类题型，找不到解题的窍门，今天小马托福频道就跟大家一起来说一说托福阅读句子简化题的解题技巧。  首先从认识题型开始，什么是 托福 阅读句子简化题？  一般是文章中着重出一句话，然后以以下问题出场：  Which of the following sentence best expresses the essential information in the highlighted sentence? Incorrect answer choices change the meaning in important ways or leave out essential information.  选项是四个句子，各有不同，大家要仔细斟酌句子。  这里主要讲的几个词是：best，essential，change，leave out。  Best：最好的。很多同学会提出这样的疑问，“老师我觉得每个选项都不对啊?怎么办啊?”这里要特别指出best的意思是最佳，不是你脑子里的选项。所以，这样的情况下，请众战友选择最接近你想象中答案的选项，  Essential：必要的。这一点主要是对于正确答案来说的。也就是提醒考生们注意着重句子的重要信息。  Changeleave out：改变和遗漏。这主要是针对错误选项的特征进行描述的。也就是说，如果不选这个选项，它要么是改变了原句的意思，要么是遗漏了重要的信息。  认识了题型以后，我们拿道真题来解剖：  Which of the following sentence best expresses the essential information in the highlighted sentence? The extreme seriousness of desertification results from the vast areas of land and the tremendous numbers of people affected, as well as from the great difficulty of reversing or even slowing the process.  1.Desertification is a significant problem because it is so hard to reverse and affects large areas of land and great numbers of people.  2.Slowing down the process of desertification is difficult because of population growth that has spread over large areas of land.  3.The spread of deserts is considered a very serious problem that can be solved only if large numbers of people in various countries are involved in the effort.  4.Desertification is extremely hard to reverse unless the population is reduced in the vast areas affected.  如果认真观察就不难发现，着重原句有个明显特征，即以result from为指示词的因果关系。result from前部分为果，后为因。那么浏览一下选项，就只有1,2选项符合因果逻辑，所以很容易排除3,4.在从谁因谁果出发，我们可以看到，2选项的Slowing down the process很明显属于原因其一，可此处却放在结果中呈现，明显不对。故选1.  逻辑关系只是判断句子简化题最明显的一个标准，也是最重要的一条。但切记，任何技巧的运用都是建立在
