Enquires for information about goods are sent and received in business all the time. A potential buyer may send a letter, email or fax of enquiry to a supplier asking for information on prices, quantities and other relative details concerning a certain product. A enquiry letter means a possible sales opportunity. Therefore, it must be replied earnestly and enthusiastically .通常情况下,如有意做进口贸易,商人就会对将要进口的商品进行询价。发送和接受关于商品信息的咨询一直是商务活动的重要环节,进口商以信函、电子邮件或者传真向可能的供应商发出询价,了解某一产品的价格、数量和其他有关细节。咨询意味着可能的销售机会,因此,收到询价,应该非常认真积极地做出答复。 Introduction to an inquiry Definition: An inquiry is made to seek a supply of products, service or information. Requirements: 1. In order to obtain the needed information, the inquiries should state simply, clearly and concisely what he wants ----general information, a catalogue or price list, a sample, a quotation, etc. 2. Inquiries should be specific and provide the necessary details to enable the receiver to answer the questions completely. 3. The reply to an inquiry should be prompt and courteous and cover all the information asked for.
