More over, there is no delay to research the reasonable layouts of the barrier-free facilities on the urban mass transit network and at the station. Firstly, the thesis introduces the definition of barrier-free in detail. Based on the clear principle of barrier-free, through the difference of the senior citizens and the disabled person, the thesis summarizes their different characteristic and has carried on the classified with corresponding barrier-free facility. Secondly, through analyzing the characteristic of typical city between home and broad, the thesis concludes the difference among them, and summarizes the major influencing factors of the program planning of the urban mass transit network and the station. Thirdly, the thesis takes a study on the method of the basic principles of planning and the method of program planning of barrier-free station in the urban mass transit network and barrier-free facility in urban mass transit station, and then set up an evaluation methodology of the barrier-free facility layout at an urban mass transit station.
