Acute Poststreptococcal Glomerulonephritis(APSGN) APSGN follows infection of the throat or skin by certain “nephritogenic” strains of group A β-hemolytic streptococci Throat (serotype 12) , cold weather months. skin (serotype 49) , warm weather months.
