Warm-up and review(课堂热身和复习) (1)Revision(复习)Finish Self Check 1 (2)Free talk T: What after-school activities do you usually do? Ss: Do homework, read books ... Have Ss finish 2a: Check the after-school activities you and your classmates usually do. 教学设计说明:复习环节是课本self -check 1部分即上一课时中的重点词汇although, until和句型so ... that ...以及not ... until ...自由谈论环节是读前的热身活动,目的是为了调动学生已有的知识储备和激发学生学习的兴趣。 2. Presentation(呈现新知识) T: What is the biggest problem in your family? Ss: (Free talk) T: There are also problems in American families. What is the common problem for Chinese and American families? Have Ss scan the first paragraph and find the answer. T: Who gives their opinions about the problem? Have Ss scan the last two paragraphs and find the answer. T: What is the main idea in Paragraph 2? 教学设计说明: 通过让学生自由谈论各自家庭中的问题自然地导入文本。第一次阅读指导学生通过扫读回答2b的两个问题,帮助学生了解文章的大意和文章结构。 3. Work on 2d T: Read the article again and answer the three questions in 2d. Have Ss scan the passage and underline different people’s opinions about after-school activities. 教学设计说明:这一环节是本节课的重点也是难点。分两步走:先让学生熟读加黑词的上下文,猜出大概意思即可,然后在此基础上去完成2c,进一步理解单词的词义。 4.
