Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Today, it’s my great honor tostand here and give my presentation to all of you. My speech is Project English Grade 8 Unit 5 Topic2 SectionB. It contains 5parts PART ONE. Analysis of the teaching material. 1) Status and function: The title of this topic is “I’m feeling better now”. In the last class, we had learnt how to use “Adverbial Clauses of Reason ”to express the emotions and reasons cause them. In this section students will learn how to reassure others and how to give suggestions.It main teaches us students how to help others with their problems, it’s close to our daily life. If we could learn it well,it will be of great help in the development of ourselves. Thus,this section plays an important role in this book, as well as the development of students. 2) Teaching goals: Knowledge and ability goals: ①know about some new words and expressions. ②learn how to reassure others and give suggestions. Procedure and strategy goals: ①learn →imitate →creat. ②to have students take part in group activities, then play roles and act it out. Emotion and attitude goals: ①to cultivate students’ emotion of optimism ②to develop students’attitude of getting along with others and love life. 3) Key points and difficult points: Key points: learn to comfort others and give suggestions. Difficult points: to put what we’ve learnt into use. That’s help others with their problems and improve the relationship between each other. PART TWO. Analysis of Students Our school lies far away from the city,many students couldn’t realize the importance of learning English. Although they have learnt English for more than 1 year,they’re still weak in listening and speaking. The students’ level varies,too. So,I’ll adopt CAI(computer assisted instrument) to catch their attention and arouse their interest in learning English.And also Situational Teaching Method to improve their abilities of communication,cooperation and creation P
