Activity evelopment sample student directions
Activity Development
Learning Unit
Level: 4 (from the 2007 Prepa Tec plans)
Life/Academic Skill: Exchange/interpret written and spoken information, listening comprehension, note-taking
Basic skills needed: Recognizing meaning from context, summarizing recalling information,
Materials needed: Slips of paper with information, questions, song lyrics
Syntactic concepts: reinforcement of passive voice, simple past
Specialized vocabulary: moody, expelled, cement (a reputation), relaunch, backslide, high-rise, accolade, reckoned,
Identify competency to develop (no more than two; as their acquisition should consider effective evaluation of at least one of them)
Written Production: The student can write coherent, simple, short texts, about current topics with informative purposes.
Course Objective:
Facts : At the end of the unit, the student will be able to describe in verbal and written form:
An object, person, place or process.
Make connections with previous/future skills to develop
Connect to current interests of students Interactive Oral Skills: The student can participate in a conversation with previously prepared information about it, on familiar topics or issues of general interest.
Listening skills: The student can understand the main idea in topics of personal interest, when spoken discourse is paused and clear.
Introduction /Warm-up/Review
