I.Teaching aims :

Step i:Teaching preparation
Greetings
T: Good morning boys and girls!
Ss: Good morning ,Miss Hu!
Revision
Sing the ABC song together.
Revise the learned words by a dictation.
T: Now, let’s do a simple dictation first. I need one student to the blackboard while other students take out your excise book ,and write down the words you heard, do you know?
Ss: Yes.
T: Ok, let’s do it.(key, watch, telephone ,notebook)
????T: Lethe b’s check the answer together. 厖匫k ,you did a very good job.
T: What w’s the sentence we learned last class?
Ss: What’s this in English?
Step ii:Presentation
Lead-in.
T: Look at me,(the teacher hold the real ruler and ask)What’s this in Chinese?
Ss:尺子
T: Yes, It’s a ruler .Have you got this object’s English meaning?
Ss: yes.
T: What’s this in English?(the teacher hold the ruler )
Ss: It’s a ruler.
T: OK, quite good.
(teach the new words in the same way)
T: Please read the new words together, one words two times. ruler, ruler, one, two, begin.

T: Look at me(the teacher hold a pencil and ask)What’s this in English?
Ss: It’s a pencil .
T: Ok. Listen to me carefully.(the teacher hold the same objection and ask) Is this a pencil? Yes, it is.
