I also want to thank you for your support to China-Australia relations and the Chinese Embassy in the past year. 　　近来，澳昆州和新州等地因洪灾遭受人员和财产损失，我谨代表中国政府表示诚挚的慰问，希望灾区民众尽快渡过难关，重建家园。　　 Recently, parts of New South Wales and Queensland have been hit by severe floods, which inflicted loss of life and property. I wish to express, on behalf of the Chinese Government, deep sympathy to the affected people, and sincerely hope they will overcome difficulty and rebuild homes at an early time. 　　今年是中国农历龙年，是繁荣和兴旺的年份。澳大利亚各界十分关心中国的发展会给澳大利亚带来什么。我可以肯定地说，是机遇。　　 This year is the Year of the Dragon, a year of prosperity and success.
