The standard defines the various types of plywood according to the water resistance of the bond between the plies. The Thomasville testing lab has performed this test on a sample of Chunda plywood with cherry veneer faces that was supplied by our Lenoir factory. Sample size is 2x5 inches. The specimens should be cut to avoid overlapping veneer, and keep the samples from voids when ever possible see figure 2 . Voids are the gaps where two pieces of veneer making up the same layer did not meet.
