Unit 9 Letter of Packing Introduction In shipment, proper packing is necessary, because it not only protects the goods from damage but prevents the goods from pilferage as well. Moreover, in ocean transportation, strong packing is needed to withstand rough handling. In most cases, damages have been caused by improper packing.
