Activity 2.21 Miss chen Lord Howe Island(豪勋爵岛) Lord Howe Island is an irregularly (不对称的)crescent-shaped（新月型） volcanic remnant in the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand. Along the west coast there is a sandy semi-enclosed sheltered coral reef lagoon. Australia To relieve pressure on the small island environment only 400 tourists are permitted at any one time.The island is reached by plane from Sydney or Brisbane in less than two hours.The Permanent Park Preserve declared in 1981 has similar management guidelines(指导方针) to a National Park. Papua New Guinea Papua New Guinea officially the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, is a country in Oceania, occupying the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and numerous offshore islands. It is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, in a region defined since the early 19th century as Melanesia. The capital is Port Moresby. Papua New Guinea is surrounded by coral reefs which are under close watch to preserve them. Norfolk Island（诺福克岛） Norfolk Island is a small island in the Pacific Ocean located between Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. The island is part of the Commonwealth of Australia, but it enjoys a large degree of self-governance. Together with two neighbouring islands, it forms one of Australias external territories. Micronesia（密克罗尼西亚联邦） The name Micronesia derives from the Greek mikros meaning small, and nesos meaning island. Micronesia is a subregion of Oceania, comprising thousands of small islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It is distinct from Melanesia to the south, and Polynesia to the east.
