Unit 2 Colours A Let’s learn Let’s do
Teaching Aims:
Enable the students to learn .
Get the students to learn and say new sentences “I see … .” skillfully.
3. Enable the students to find out the beauty in their daily life, communicate and cooperate with the others friendly.
Key Points:
1. Have the students learn new words: blue, red, green, yellow.
2. Have the students learn new sentences: “I see … . ”.
3. Get the students to finish “Let’s do” in part A.
Difficulties:
1. Ask them to know and mew sentences “I see … . ” skillfully.
Enable the students to describe colours in the life.
Teaching Aids:
CAI Director, Talking Pen, some pieces of colour papers, and other items.
Teaching Procedures:
Step Ⅰ Warming-up
Get the students to chant and sing a song together.
Make greetings to the students.
Eg: --Good morning, boys and girls.
--Good morning, teacher/... … .
--How are you?
--Fine, thank you. / I’m fine, thank you/... … .
Show the big screen and revise school things.
Step Ⅱ Presentation
Show colourful pictures to the students and let them say how the world would be like if there’s no colours in our life.
Get them listen to the tape three times and try to learn colours by themselves.
Ask them what they learned in this part, then hold up the corresponding cards on the board and write the words.
Eg: yellow blue green blue
Have the students look at the big screen ,say missing words and appearing words as quickly as they can.
Let them listen and learn colours in pairs, then act.
Have the students answer what colours they can see in the classroom.
Get them to look and make sentences one by one.
Show a magic box to the students and let them pass, then say “I see… .”.
Hold up a green pencil and have them read after the teacher, then listen and mime in groups.
Eg: Show me red/blue/yellow/green.
Let the students act out in groups.
