Lesson Plan Interpretation 教学大纲 Good morning everyone. Thanks for your presence to listen to my lesson plan. The lesson I am gong to talk about is from Senior English for China Students Book 1A Unit 5 The Silver Screen, period 5 The integrating skill. During the following brief interpretation, I’ll show you the theoretical basis of my teaching, my understanding of the teaching material, teaching methods and studying ways, the teaching process, plus the content of blackboard work, which totally includes 5 parts. ⅠTheoretical basis 理论基础 Let me start with the theoretical basis------the process approach to writing, that is 过程写作法. As it’s a writing course, the aim is to improve students writing ability. The traditional way of teaching writing pays great attention to the final product but ignore the process. Actually, this kind of practice is fruitless, because, without the right approach to write, it’s difficult for students to produce satisfactory final work. While the new teaching material gives us a new way of learning how to write. In the reading part, it offers students an example of writing. And tell us how to write articles step by step. After writing, we can see some tips which make writing more easily. So that, for this writing lesson, I’ll take up the process approach which attaches great importance to what students do before they start writing and after finish writing. Ⅱ Understanding of the teaching material 教材理解 Now let me explain my understanding of this lesson. I’ll interpret it from 4 parts: the content, the teaching aims, the important point, and the difficult point. Content背景: This lesson mainly introduces students the film “Not One Less”, and teach students how to make comments on films and write film reviews about them.
