Reports to: Technology Manager, Composites Tooling. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES To develop or modify products to fit new application and performance requirement. To conduct field trials and lab test for new products as planned. To generate accurate data To compile technical reports and handle related technical documents. To identify and evaluate new or alternative materials for related products. To provide necessary technical information to Sales and Marketing To keep track on the Composites and Tooling technology development trend To review procedures and methods, make enhancement suggestions To maintain lab EHS and house-keeping standard KEY REQUIREMENTS Education: Master degree or above in physical/organic/inoragnic chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, interfacialscicne, materials chemistry or chemical engineering Experiences: at least 5 years in a technical/research laboratory and/or product development environment for casting and encapsulation related materials Technology Competencies: Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in formulation technology for achieving specific product functionality in thermoset based composites and tooling systems Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in controlled processing of thermosetting composite materials systems(such as Resin Transfer Moulding, Infusion, Filament Winding, Pultrusion, Pre-pregging, new processes: BMC/SMC, out of Autoclave) Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in curing and crosslinking technologies (including radiation cure, microwave, induction curing, Quickstep Technology) Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in the science and engineering of the fibre-matrix interface and the performance properties derived from management of this intrface Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in the mechanical characterization and testing of composites and tooling themoset material systems Demonstrate an intermediate
