1.teaching content: this is the first period of unit 6 that centers about expressing personal traits and comparing people. this part has function which links the preceding with the following.
2. teaching difficulty and emphasis:
help the students master how to compare two persons’ appearances and characters by using the comparative forms of adjectives.
to improve the students’ abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing by learning this lesson.
part 2 teaching aims and demands
1.knowledge aims:
to learn the new vocabulary: outgoing, twin, calm, wild, serious, athletic.
☆to study the comparatives with –r,–er/ier, y→i+er, 双写最后一个辅音字母+er, and more: taller, shorter, calmer, wilder, funnier, thinner, more outgoing,…and so on.
☆to study target language: is that sam? no, that’s tom. he has shorter hair than sam. he’s calmer than sam.
2.ability aims:
be able to talk about characters of your own and others,
correctly compare and give judgement.
3.moral aims:
pay respect to yourself and others .cultivate good personal traits.
