An Analyss of the Causes and Countermeasures of College Students’ Listening Anxiety
Abstract
University English teaching reform has put requirements on improving students’ English comprehensive application ability, especially the ability of listening comprehension. However, college students generally have the problem of anxiety, tension and inattention in English listening class. Anxiety is an important emotional factor affecting listening comprehension. This paper analyzes the causes and influence of anxiety, and puts forward both the subjective and objective factors of anxiety . It suggests that college students and teachers should improve their awareness of the impact of anxiety on English listening, actively overcome anxiety’s influence on English listening and improve teaching methods, so as to improve listening level of college students.

摘要
大学英语教学改革要求提高学生英语综合应用能力,特别是听力理解能力。但是,目前的大学英语听力课堂上,学生普遍存在焦虑,紧张,注意力不集中等现象。焦虑是影响听力的一个重要的情感因素。本文分析了产生焦虑的原因,影响,提出焦虑的因素既有主观的,也有客观的。认为应提高大学生和教师对焦虑对英语听力影响的认识,在学习中积极地克服其对英语听力的影响和改进教学方法,从而提高大学生的听力水平。

1. Introduction
With the actively increasing of international communication, English plays a much more important role in our lives. Society requires more on students English comprehensive ability and pay more attention on students listening and speaking ability. Students are required to master English well, so that use English effectively in the future work and social interaction by college learning and adapt better to the needs of social development and international exchange in China. College English curriculum requirements puts clear requirements on college students English listening ability (general requirements): can understand English, can understand daily English conversation and general theme lectures, can understand the special English program whose basic speed is about 130 words per minute, can master the aim meaning and the key points of English listening material, can use the basic
