Owning the great performance at resistance to multipath effect, high data rates within 20MHz bandwidth, and high system capacity, LTE has play an important role in telecommunication study. 3GPP Working Group designates OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) as the downlink transmission scheme. OFDM has a good anti-multipath performance, but it has an unsatisfactory PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio), what’s more, high PAPR will degrade the power efficiency. The Working Group picks SC-FDMA (Single-Carrier Frequency-Division Multiple Access) out, the low PAPR of SC-FDMA contribute to the designation that SC-FDMA becomes LTE uplink transmission scheme. The major research work of this paper reflected in three aspects. In the first part, the basic principle and system of OFDM and SC-FDE (Single Carrier-Frequency Domain Equalization) are introduced first. Then comparing the advantages and duality of two systems, the linear and nonlinear equalizer and the frame structure of SC-FDE are introduced. The second part describes the type and function of LTE uplink and downlink channels, makes a simple analysis of the PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) and frame structure of SC-FDMA, then intrudes two subcarriers mapping , i.e. localized and distributed.
