On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, let me offer warm congratulations on the successful opening of Sixth meeting of Xiangshan Forum. 今年是世界反法西斯战争胜利和联合国成立70周年，万隆会议召开60周年，也是东盟共同体建成之年，是一个承前启后、继往开来的重要年份。在这一特殊背景下，各国嘉宾齐聚香山论坛，共同探讨亚太安全合作的新愿景，增进理解互信，凝聚合作共识，具有非同寻常的意义。 This year is a momentous year. It marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the world anti-fascist war and the founding of the United Nations. It is also the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference in Bandung and the year of completion of the building of ASEAN Community. In this context, this year’s Xiangshan Forum is of great significance.
